The teaser of Bigg Boss 16 released on Sunday evening and it has been trending even a day later. The promo video begins with a montage of former contestants Shehnaaz Gill, late Siddharth Shukla, Hina Khan, Shilpa Shinde and Tanishaa Mukerji. The show’s host Salman Khan then walks into the frame, giving fans a glimpse of what is in store this season. “15 saal se Bigg Boss ne sabka game dekha lekin iss baar Bigg Boss apna game dikhayenge. Subah hogi par aasman mein chand dikhega, gravity udegi hawa mein, ghoda bhi ab seedhe chal chalega, parchaayi bhi saath chodegi, woh bhi khelegi apna game ( for the last 15 years, Bigg Boss has seen the game of the contestants but this time, he will show his game. In the morning, the moon will remain the sky, gravity will fly, the horse will walk straight, shadow will leave its path),” said Salman Khan.
At the end of the teaser, Salman says that Bigg Boss will be a part of the game in season 16 of the popular TV reality show. “Bigg Boss khud khelenge,” said Salman Khan.
The teaser shared on the official handle of Colors TV read: “Inn 15 saalon mein sabne khela apna apna game, lekin ab baari hai Bigg Boss ke khelne ki. Dekhiye Bigg Boss16 jald hi, sirf Colors par.”
Makers of Bigg Boss have managed to raise excitement around the upcoming season 16 of the reality show. On Tuesday, Colors TV shared a promo of Bigg Boss 16 in which host Salman Khan hinted that the upcoming season will have no rules.
The video shows Salman watching the crew working on the sets of the new season and he says: “Rule yeh hai ke koi rule nahi hai (The rule is that there is no rule).” He further said: “There is always a first time and there is always the next time. This is Bigg Boss time.”
Though there is no clarity on what this means for the controversial show’s format, excited fans are taking to social media to speculate and share their theories. Some fans also predicted that without rules, there will be ‘maara-maari’ in this new season. In another promo, Salman suggested that in this season, Bigg Boss will also play his game. “Inn 15 saalon mein sabne khela apna apna game, lekin ab baari hai Bigg Boss ke khelne ki,” the promo read.
There has been much speculation about the contestants of season 16. Though no official announcement has been made, there is a rumour that standup comedian Munawar Faruqui, winner of recent reality show Lock Upp, could enter the show. The ‘captive reality show’ hosted by actress Kangana Ranuat, had streamed on ALTBalaji and MX Player. The show which premiered in February had featured 16 “controversial” celebrities, who were put together in a lock up for months without amenities.

All Bhai fans expressed their excitement for the show and said that they expect full physical fights this time. “Cannot wait, Bigg Boss is finally here,” one fan wrote. In another promo, Salman teased that Bigg Boss will play his own game. “Inn 15 saalon mein sabne khela apna apna game, lekin ab baari hai Bigg Boss ke khelne ki Dekhiye #BiggBoss16 jald hi, sirf #Colors par,” the caption for the promo had read.
There has been much speculation about the participants for the new show and some of the names that are doing the rounds are Arjun Bijlani, Divyanka Tripathi, Shivangi Joshi, Tina Dutta, Poonam Pandey and Jannat Zubair. There’s also a rumour that Lockk Upp winner and comedian Munawar Faruqui has been approached for the show, along with Munmun Dutta and Faisal Shaikh. However, there has been no official announcement as yet.
